Universities Innovation Showcase - Delivering Business Solutions

Universities Innovation Showcase is a collaborative effort by all Victorian Universities to celebrate World IP Day. The Universities are taking this opportunity to break down current stereo types regarding the value they offer to business and demonstrate the range of their expertise, capabilities and their readiness to engage with industry. The event will run for most of the afternoon 26th April 2007.

Two elements of the showcase are open to the public and free of charge:
  • an exhibition of the capabilities/expertise/personnel available from Victorian Universities
  • a series of themed seminars showcasing business solutions provided by Victorian Universities
  • The exhibition showcases innovation from all Victorian universities and related spin-off companies, sponsors and other collaborating organisations and provides an opportunity to encourage interaction. The themed seminar series will bring together panels of experts presenting concise overviews of the outcomes of university innovations that have delivered business solutions.
The seminars will cover the themes of:
  • Health and Biotech
  • Environmental Challenges and solutions
  • Design and modelling
  • Transport and Logistics
  • Nanotechnology and New Materials
  • IP and its Commercialisation
